How to Oatmeal for better Energy , Weight Loss and Productivity


GOOD MONDAY MORNING 

Are you a fan of oatmeal? I’m talking the rolled or steel cut oats that you have to cook in water or milk


A lot of people stay away from oatmeal for a few reasons :

🔻 Carbs

🔻 Taste bland

🔻 Not filling


First - yes oats are mostly carbohydrates. They also contain fibre and protein (most found in the steel cut oats) so they are one of the best carbohydrates that your body can use

Second - if you cook oats in water and eat them without any additional flavours… then yes, yes it will be bland

Third - if you’ve had oats before that haven’t been filling it’s probably because they were from a package with added sugar (maple or cookies and cream). The oats in these packages are low protein, low fibre and high sugar which leads to low satiety


How to make your OATMEAL the best meal of your day (energy, productivity and weight loss are all side effects):


1️⃣ Cook your oats in water or milk AND egg whites or add a scoop of collagen powder - this increases the amount of protein in the base leading to better energy and satiety

2️⃣ Add flavours through fruits and nuts/ seeds - and add your favourites so you enjoy every bite! Fruit and nuts will provide the sweetness and crunch in any bowl

3️⃣ That spoon full of nut butter - ok I know I said add nuts/seeds before but hear me out ! Nut butter adds the beautiful velvetiness as well as healthy fats that are beyond amazing for satiety. It also helps our brains function better for more productivity
